Module 7 | Project 1 Assignment – Changing the World, One Website at a Time

In this project, you will demonstrate your understanding of digital marketing and website management skills by developing a marketing plan and building a website for a nonprofit organization. The objectives of this project are as follows:

      1. Create marketing objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and marketing strategies for the nonprofit organization.
      2. Develop customer journeys and funnels, selecting appropriate digital marketing channels.
      3. Create content for organic digital marketing channels.
      4. Conduct keyword research for website architecture, content, and SEO.
      5. Plan a website that meets objectives and user needs for different audience segments and conversion funnel stages.
      6. Apply best practices for UX/UI design, website copywriting, and SEO in website creation.
      7. Design a visually appealing slideshow presentation.

Instructions for the project include:

      • Creating a nonprofit organization focused on increasing awareness about a need-based topic.
      • Defining primary objectives and KPIs for the digital marketing plan and website.
      • Selecting digital marketing channels and platforms based on target audience and objectives.
      • Creating a customer journey to illustrate the audience’s progression through the digital funnel.
      • Developing a marketing plan with sections for objectives, marketing strategies (including content marketing and SEO), and KPIs with a measurement plan.
      • Creating creative examples for up to four organic marketing channels, explaining how they drive the audience back to the website.
      • Planning the website by researching competitor websites and keywords, determining architecture and internal linking, and creating wireframes and design details.
      • Building the website on WordPress, including at least five pages with specific features.
      • Reviewing SEO elements in the live source code and making recommendations for improvements.
      • Creating a slideshow presentation in Google Slides with sections for business overview, marketing plan, and website planning, including SEO recommendations.
      • Ensuring compliance with WordPress terms of service by adding disclaimers, using fictitious contact details, and clearly labeling educational purposes.

The required deliverables include a marketing plan, a website built on WordPress, SEO elements in the content and graphics, and a slideshow presentation covering the project sections.
