Module 3 Challenge: Content Galore
Background
In the previous challenge, you audited a local business’s content marketing and identified gaps and opportunities. In this challenge, you will build upon that work by creating sample content for various channels discussed in this module.
Objectives:
The objectives of this assignment are to:
-
- Create visual content following the best practices covered in this module.
- Craft optimized copy for multiple platforms.
- Construct content that feels native to each platform.
Instructions:
For this challenge, choose one of the topics you suggested to the business in the Module 2 challenge and create sample content for a multi-channel campaign based on that topic.
If you didn’t complete the Module 2 challenge, use the fictitious company “Lil’ Geniuses” from previous lessons. Choose a topic that suits the company, such as “busy parents who need the convenience of online coaching.”
Open the provided slideshow template and draft content for each platform, including a blog post, Facebook post, Instagram post, YouTube video outline and description, Tweet, TikTok outline and caption, and LinkedIn post.
Reacquaint yourself with the business you audited or “Lil’ Geniuses” if you didn’t complete the previous challenge.
Ensure you adhere to the best practices for each platform and include relevant media such as images or videos. Use royalty-free images from sites like Pixabay or Unsplash. For platforms like YouTube and TikTok, you only need to outline your video ideas.
Required Deliverables:
Create a Google slide presentation including the following:
-
- Blog post (300-500 words) following blog content best practices.
- Facebook post with an image, caption (140 characters or less), and at least one hashtag.
- Instagram post with an image or video, caption (no longer than 2200 characters), 20-30 hashtags, and a “tagged” account.
- YouTube video outline and description, including an opening, brand introduction, call to action, title (no longer than 100 characters), description with a CTA or link, and at least two tags.

Bonus:
If desired, create a video for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram Reels, or Facebook Stories. Although details on shooting, editing, and uploading videos are not covered, the content creation guidelines provide helpful tips. Refer to the glossary for extra resources on using these platforms.
